Nothing much more had happened since Thornpaws dream, but the apprentices continued to learn the ways of a medicine cat. It was late afternoon in the clans now, and the banks of the river were teeming with hunting and patrolling cats. For any warrior, this was a nice, regular day. But for the medicine cats and their apprentices it was much more. That night was the quarter moon, the time when the medicine cats went to the Great Pine to share tongues with StarClan.

Thornpaw was so excited, he was just hopping up and down all around FireClans medicine den. "It's tonight, it's tonight!" He said, dark green eyes glowing. Tonight was the quarter moon, when he would not only speak with StarClan again, but meet the other Medicine Cat and his apprentice.
It was the apprentice he was most curious about. When he had been collecting or sorting herbs, or even pulling thorns out of pads, he had thought back to the dream he had had. Maybe StarClan would explain things better to him now.
Diamondflash smiled as she finished storing the herbs they had just collected. It was nice to see that her apprentice was so enthusiastic about going to the Great Pine tonight. "Now don't forget Thornpaw, don't climb the pine." She said, knowing it wasn't the most important thing. Thornpaw had a way of forgetting little details like that when he got excited though, so she reminded him anyway.
"Yes Diamondflash! And don't talk about your dreams until you have an idea of what they mean." He said, bouncing around in circles around his mentor.
"Calm down little one!" She said, amusement hanging on the edge of her voice. Little by little, Thornpaw quieted down a bit, although he was still bursting with excitement.
"Now come along. Time to go. It's quite a hike, and we have to meet up with Stormsky and his apprentice." She said, padding out of the den with her apprentice prancing along behind her; light gray tail waving behind him.
Soon they were well out of the camp and they were weaving through grasses, each a different shade of green or brown. There were some birds flying in the sky above, and the occasional mouse or rabbit running for cover as they approached.
"Will I be able to tell her about my dream?" Asked Thornpaw, walking beside his calico mentor.
"Who?" Asked Diamondflash, taking a guess at what he was going to say.
"The IceClan medicine cat apprentice! The one in my dream." He said, letting his mind float back to the image of her in the pool.
"Hmm... I think I will tell Stormsky, and then he can tell her. No point in rushing into things." She said, shaking her head.

Over in IceClan it wasn't as chaotic, but there was still a lot of excitement.
"What do you think he'll look like? I wonder if he's nice... What should I say when I see him?" Shadowpaw was full of questions about the FireClan medicine cat apprentice, for she didn't know anything about him except that it was a tom.
Stormsky sighed and rolled his dark blue eyes. "Patience Shadowpaw, you'll see him soon." He said, finishing a mouse that another apprentice had brought in earlier.
Shadowpaw took a deep breath and started pacing back and forth to try and wear off her energy. In her mind she tried to imagine what the medicine cat apprentice would look like. It wasn't easy, but she decided he would probably be nice and cute.
Stormsky watched his apprentice for a while, and when she finally stopped he caught the hint of a smile. "Remember that medicine cats aren't allowed to have mates." He said sternly, guessing at what she had been thinking.
Shadowpaw scowled. "So? It doesn't mean we can't think another cat is cute." She said, looking at the wall.
Stormsky couldn't help but chuckle. "Your right, there have been a few cats that even I have thought cute. Come on now, time to go." He said, getting up and stretching.
All bad thoughts forgotten, Shadowpaw was at the exit of the cozy little medicine den in an instant. As soon as her mentor caught up with her, she darted out of the den and waited outside.
Once they were out of camp, Shadowpaw stopped darting ahead and waiting to let the older cat lead, for she had never been to the Great Pine before. However, every once in a while she would bound forward, a black blur against the bright sunset colors, chasing a bird. Then she would be back by Stormskys side again.

Just as the sky was darkening and the light growing dim, all four cats met at the place where the river thinned out to the point where you could leap across it without getting your paws wet.
Stormsky and Diamondflash started talking to each other about herbs they had gathered, how the training with their apprentices had gone, and about Thornpaws dream. For the two apprentices it was pretty dull, so they hung behind and walked side by side.
At first they were both to shy to talk. Thornpaw couldn't stop thinking of those beautiful blue-green eyes and flawless long black pelt, while Shadowpaw couldn't take her mind off of how nice he seemed.
"Umm... Hi." It was Shadowpaw, one of the apprentices had finally spoken. "How has your training been?" She asked, deciding to start off with a topic that they both knew enough about to make a conversation out of it.
Soon both young cats were deep in conversation about how fun and interesting it was to be a medicine apprentice, and what they had learned and done.
"We get approved by StarClan themselves tonight!" Was one of the comments Thornpaw made. This led to a long conversation about how they would be greeted.
Sooner then they thought, all four cats were walking up the hill that the Great Pine sat on, the place where you could share tongues with StarClan.

Warriors: A New Beginning
A Warriors Role-Play like you've never seen before

Many moons ago, a message came to the medicine cats of four Clans: FireClan, ForestClan, IceClan, and MountainClan. The message was very firm and very clear.

"The ones I name to you must leave your Clan.
They must leave, and they can never return.
They will find new territories,
They will form new Clans,
and they will never come back."

Those were the words spoken to the medicine cats, and along with those words were four different lists for each Clan. Six cats from each Clan, including the current deputies and medicine cats, as well as four of the strongest warriors--two toms and two she-cats. No apprentices, and no elders. StarClan sent six cats from each Clan, twenty-four in all, away from the Clans, never to return home again.

For many moons they have traveled, and now the twenty-four cats have reached a good land for their new home. They have each claimed a camp and one piece of territory, but there are plenty of unclaimed lands that will have to be divided among the four new Clans -- AshClan, TimberClan, ShardClan, and CragClan.

The deputies will have to be made into leaders and gain their nine lives. A regular warrior will have to be promoted to deputy. The medicine cat apprentices must become full medicine cats, and the three remaining warriors must defend and hunt for their Clan. There are no apprentices, no kits, and no elders.

These new Clans must start over completely.

So now you've heard the Clans' story. Now it is up to you -- yes, you and perhaps only you -- to shape these Clans' futures, for what is to come might be what could be the most dangerous part of it all.
